Happy Halloween!

Today, let's talk about hiding behind a mask. Do you often hide the way you are actually feeling? Do you often say, "I'm OK," or "I'm fine," or "Don't worry, I'll take care of it"? 

Especially as a woman, we tend to "mask" how we feel to please other people or to show that we are strong. This week, let's JOLT about how it's OK not to be OK– it's OK to ask for help- it's OK not to feel so great!

I'm OK!
I'm fine!
I'll do it myself.
I don't need any help.
It's no big deal.
Do you often or sometimes hear yourself saying these things?
Is it really OK?
Is it really fine?
Is it really OK and are you really fine?
I'm not fine.
It doesn't feel good.
I'm not OK.
I am overwhelmed.
I want some help.
I want to feel heard.
I want to be appreciated.
It feels better to say that out loud.
I feel better already.
I feel better when I voice how I really feel....

How to be grateful in the midst…

Hello beautiful soul,

Being grateful when the world has such sad and cruel things going on could be difficult for most. The beauty of choice is that we can choose to drum up something we are grateful for no matter what is happening in our lives.

Let's dive right into the reading of our JOLT

 Because, after all, this moment is all we truly are guaranteed!

Sometimes, I feel sad
Sometimes, I don't feel like working
Sometimes, I don't feel like acting like I'm happy
Sometimes, I don't feel grateful for what is going on around me
Sometimes, it doesn't feel right to be happy when others are not
Sometimes, I feel like I'm not a good person if I'm happy amid sadness
I do know whatever feeling I'm giving out, I will get more of it back
I do know that my gratefulness is the thing that will shift my day

Good morning, Beautiful!

How many times a day do you say or hear others say, "I'm so busy!"? A few years ago, one of my mentors shared that Mark Cuban declared that "busy" is the new stupid.

Yikes! Who wants to be called stupid??? It was then I decided to remove that word from my vocabulary — for - ever!

Let me share what I replaced it with, and please let me know how it feels when YOU replace the dirty four-letter word that starts with "B."

I'm SO busy; how will I get it all done
I'm SO busy; there is never enough time in my day
I'm SO busy; I'm feeling stretched in a million different directions 
I'm SO exhausted
Even just saying, "I'm SO busy" feels exhausting
If busy is the new stupid, then I will choose a new thought
If busy feels exhausting, then what will feel expansive 
Abundantly blessed
I am abundantly blessed
My days are full of abundance
I am blessed to have so much I want to accomplish 
I am blessed with so many people and...

Hi Beautiful!

Is it difficult to let something go when it has profoundly impacted you? When someone did or said something to me that was hurtful or painful, I would use any opportunity to tell everyone and anyone who would listen. For me and, I'm sure, for the poor souls who were probably sorry they asked how I was!!

That * Was * Exhausting *

Now, after years of practice, I do a pattern interrupt. 

The mastery of being aware of what I was doing and saying, then nipping it in the bud before The Law of Attraction had a chance to grab hold of it and give me more of what I did not want! (Yep, the LOA doesn't give a hoot if what you are saying is positive or negative.)

Let me show you how to do a pattern interrupt and turn it around before it spirals in the wrong direction.

YaY, Beautiful Soul!

As you are reading this, I am at the airport in my hometown of Buffalo, NY – We went back for a visit, and it was the first since 2017!! 

My cup and my belly are full!  

Before we went back east, we had a beach day at a friend's beach house in Malibu – the weather was so warm and beautiful – It was so nice to unplug and enjoy each other's company. Happy Fall Beautiful,

I'm a little sad to see summer end. Do you have some regrets like I do? I didn't go to the beach as much as I would have liked to, didn't spend much time out in our backyard (lots of annoying mosquitoes), didn't get together with friends who usually have us over to swim, blah blah blah.

As much as I love a good Pumpkin Spice Latte and warm, cozy sweaters, I'm still going through my summer wardrobe and realizing there were so many pieces I did not wear! 
(I should have added that to my complaint list above, lol).

Good glorious morning!

Do you like to read? When I was young, I would read romance novels, and then I went on to read mysteries. I used to read for entertainment. Now, I read to learn and to improve my life, and I hope to improve the lives of others around me.

"Habits are the compound interest of self-improvement." ~ James Clear

In the book "Atomic Habits," James Clear points out that to make our lives better, much of it depends on the habits we have formed.

Often, you don't need to make massive changes in your habits, but it could take as little as a 1% improvement to create a more significant difference over time. (Remember last week I shared that my word for September is Simplify?)

Hi there, beautiful soul!

Each month, I pick a word to focus on. September is Simplify! 

Each year, I choose a word to cultivate and grow with, and I already know that in 2024, I will continue to use Simplify! 

I teach this concept of choosing a word as a mindset goal 

for my clients to focus on and live with this intention for a year. They have all shared that this simple concept of how to be a receiver of more goodness, flow, ease & joy in their business, and life has allowed them to have an awareness that has fundamentally 

helped them to grow! 

You know I am also a student of this~ consistently applying what I learn and teach. After all, if you ingest information and not put it into action, it's merely entertainment.

I used to be a “do-er”. (OK, I still am!) Always having to be doing something! My mother used to say to me as a kid, “Can’t you just sit still?” I admit, I’m OK with it! I like to feel productive, AND I like to relax!
